Our Impact

Since 2017, National Bail Out has been committed to fighting for a world where carceral systems are unimaginable solutions to social problems.

In 2024, National Bail Out and partner organizations bailed out Black Mamas and caregivers across the nation in Birmingham, Alabama; Little Rock, Arkansas; Oakland, California; Miami, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; Prince George's County, Maryland; Detroit, Michigan; Kansas City, Missouri; New York City, New York; Bridgeton, North Carolina, Durham, North Carolina, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Houston, Texas, and Lubbock, Texas.

We’ve granted 18 Black-led organizations $1,779,900 to get Black Mamas and caregivers out of cages, $475,000 to support those we bail out with short and long-term supportive services, $288,000 to support our partner organizations, and bailed out 123 Black Mamas and caregivers.

In 2023, National Bail Out and partner organizations bailed out Black Mamas and caregivers across the nation in Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas.

We’ve granted 13 Black-led organizations $2,899,820 in bail, provided $453,000 to support our partner organizations, and granted $780,000 to support short and long-term supportive services, and bailed out 156 Black Mamas and caregivers.
